All of our whistles are made with PLA, a type of sustainable, non-petroleum bio-plastic that is made from plant sugars, often derived from corn starch. PLA is considered safe and is also used in medical devices and food packaging. The tuning slide is a thin-walled metal tube made out of either brass or stainless, depending on what suppliers have available at the time that I make an order.
Unfortunately, I can’t control what’s available at any given moment, so I can’t guarantee whether your slide will be brass or stainless steel. If it is important to you, please use the contact form and I can tell you what I have in inventory when you write.
All original whistles come standard in black, with either silver or gunmetal ferrules. But I do have a wide varieties of colors that I could use to make the bodies! If you’re looking for something unique, contact me today!
